After extensive research and development, the Forcefield ladies back protector has all the advantages of the Pro L2 back protector, with one added advantage - it is now a dedicated garment to fit women better!

Forcefield back protectors are designed to be soft, comfortable and flexible whilst providing the maximum amount of protection. Using layers of different material, Forcefield back protectors are less bulky than competitors back protectors and mould to the body after only a couple of minutes of wearing.

The most important material in a Forcefield Pro L2 ladies back protector is Nitrex, a unique high tech shock absorbing layer (the triangular patterened outer layer). The materials used make Forcefield back protectors different from their hard shell competitors, which are designed to take one impact. Forcefield refer to this as "Repeat Performance Technology". Nitrex also spreads impact forces more evenly than any hard shell protector.

Another benefit of the using layers of material is flexibility. Pick a Forcefield back protector up and it might feel quite rigid, but put it on and after only a few moments the back protector moulds to your body, feeling comfortable and unobstrusive.The layers of foam are perforated and stitched in such a way as to allow partial movement of the inner layers. This movement helps to pump air through the perforations allowing air to build up and move between the layers when in use.

The Forcefield shoulder straps are designed to be fully adjustable to give a satisfying fit. When adjusting the shoulder strap, as little tension as possible is required over the shoulder as the straps are designed to simply hold the back snugly to the body. The Forcefield Pro L2 ladies back protector has a secondary waist adjustment strap that allows greater flexibility for achieving the optimum fit.

I've been using Forcefield back protectors for about four years now, and given that I manage to part company with my machine about five times a year (I'm a track racer in my spare time) I think it's fair to say that I've given my Forcefield Pro L2 back protector a decent workout.

I started wearing the Forcefield after a friend who works on Ride magazine told me that they really are that much better than the opposition. I'd had a few tumbles whilst wearing the old one and unlike the Forcefield they can't claim repeatable performance so I was due a new one anyway. What I really like about it is that once it's on you really don't notice it. It moulds very quickly to your body and moves with you.
