New to our range, Held Orkney winter gloves have soft Cowhide palms with an Airguard back for a mix of comfort and protection. Airguard is highly abrasion and tear resistant fabric with tiny air pockets for insulation improving comfort without adding bulk. Airguard is also water repellent and windproof, as well as being easy to clean.

Held have been making gloves for 65 years and started making motorcycle gloves in 1975. In 2010, their experience has again paid off as they have once more received Europe’s highest accolade for motorbikebike clothing excellence in the form of a Motorrad Best Brand award for Held gloves.
Motorrad is the biggest bike magazine in Europe, with a bi-weekly circulation of over 200,000. The magazine’s readers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and eager to give their feedback on the products they trust.
This time over 33,000 bikers voted for their favourite kit, and when it came to gloves an overwhelming 54% of them confidently stated that Held gloves are the best in the world. All the big brands were represented, but the nearest challenger only received 28% of the vote, with the others sharing the remaining 18%.
The Best Brand awards were instigated in 2006 and Held Clothing have won the gloves section each year since.
