At first I bought 'em as the base liner to wear them under my 1piece leathers on cold mornings of the qualifying races in f2 sidecar championship and to keep me sweat free, but i got really impressed by ‘em, they are quite thin and provide me with a snug fit, without restricting my movements, and believe me freedom of movement matters a lot for a sidecar passenger when he needs to move about wile experiencing 2-3g-forces! Their temperature retaining properties, are so impressive because of the smart material called paraffin* which changes it's structure by absorbing the excess heat, in other words it cools you down, and if your body cools down to much those clever paraffin* cells gives you your own heat back , how good is that ! I have found that they work very well not only on track but on the road as well, i have stopped using my bulky fleece over my leathers and wearing thin but very warm base layers , that keeps me not only warm or cool but as well dry, by transferring body sweat away !

*Not actually Paraffin, but the chemical formulae the material in Outlast is based on is close to Paraffin, without the safety issues that would be involved in using Paraffin!

Quality outlast baselayer

High quality baselayer with Outlast, very nice, comfy, warm and well made recommended. Ive done 22 winters on bikes and this is a great addition to my winter wardrobe
