The shell of the Arai Axces is made using Super Fibre Laminate construction, which maintains shell thickness to the bottom of the helmet which is reinforced with Arai's Hyper Ridge. The inner shell is made of three different densities of expanded polystyrene to work in conjunction with the outer shell to optimise protection for the different impact different parts of the helmet may encounter.
A large, adjustable "Air Conductor" rear vent helps with cooling, but is also designed to cut wind noise by directing air away from the back of the helmet. Ducting is in place for an optional Delta Duct front vent. The Arai Axces also has two lower vents towards the nack of the helmet.
The Pinlock ready visor has Arai's brow vents which direct air into the forehead area without the need for holes in the shell in what is considered the most vulnerable part of the helmet. Arai helmets use external visor holders, so that there are no compromises in terms of removing lining material and there are no edges to impede the smooth dispersal of an impact.
Arai vents are designed to break away easily from the helmet in the event of an impact, so there is less chance of the helmet catching or snagging.
