The Schuberth C3 is the first race developed flip front helmet. Michael Schumacker used Schuberth Helmets through out his F1 career, and before his return to F1 raced in the German Superbike championship where he helped develop the C3. Schumacker felt that being able to keep the helmet open right up until the start fo the race made him feel fresher. The result is a much smaller shell than previous Schuberth Flip Front helmets, whilst still retaining the elements that Schuberth are famous for - low wind noise and in built sun visor.
