A motorcycle tail pack is a simple bag that attaches to the rear of your motorbike and with some careful packing should be big enough to carry all you need for a weekend away.
As with any motorcycle luggage there are a variety out on the market from the basic £20 cheapie up to ones that can run into three figures. Which type of motorcycle tail pack you need obviously depends on your individual needs, but make sure that whatever motorcycle tail pack you choose, that it can be attached firmly and safely to your machine. Even a basic motorcycle tail pack should have a strap that can go under your seat and then mount on at least four points using bungees to hold it firm.
Most motorcycle tail packs are made of waterproof material but zips can leak so any reliable manufacturer will include a waterproof cover to affix if that sudden shower turns into a long distance downpour.
Some motorcycle tail packs will have an expansion feature to make them a little taller in order to accommodate a few extra bits. Really good motorcycle tail packs such as the Oxford Products lifetime range will have rucksack style shoulder straps which make it easy to cart the bag into the hotel or around the campsite when you arrive at your destination.
