Our Clapham branch is well known to London motorcyclists, having been a motorcycle dealers since the early 70's - the site was previously a branch of Motorcycle City, and before that Mocheck. Nowadays we have split the shop in two - one side a Yamaha Motorcycles Premier Dealer and the other dedicated to motorcycle clothing and accessories. To the rear of the building is our Parts and Service department, with full workshop facilities.
Our motorcycle showroom has the latest models in the Yamaha range of motorcycles and scooters, plus a selection of low mileage used machines. Our location on the A3 is reflected in our stock - as well as sports and touring bikes, we generally have good stocks of 125cc scooters and commuter motorcycles of all sizes. We're always on the look out for low mileage, excellent condition used bikes - give Nyall and his team a call on 020 7720 6072.
The other half of the store is home to our clothing department, stocked with everything from a pair of ear plugs to top of the range Rukka Gore-Tex motorcycle clothing. Our staff have years of experience and lots of training from the best brands in motorcycle clothing and can help you with whatever you need, whether you're taking your first steps toward getting on the road, or you're planning a round the world trip! Try on Arai, Shoei, Caberg and many more brands from our extensive stocks of all types of motorcycle helmets, choose clothing from Dainese, Spada, Alpinestars, Merlin and many more - as well as the latest kit , we have a great range of end-of-line motorcycle gear at knock-down prices.
If you're spending more than £400 on motorcycle clothing and accessories, we can arrange interest free credit (subject to status) and on top of that, we have Club Infinity - the most generous rewards card in motorcycling!
Our workshop is staffed by three qualified motorcycle technicians, who can carry out accident repairs, servicing as well as offering a fast fit service on consumables and aftermarket parts. Our Service department supplies genuine parts and accessories and offers a mail order service.
Meet the Manager - Nyall King
Bike Sales Manager.
As with many of us, Nyall has his father to thank for his introduction to motorbikes. “I was 7 years old, and had spent the previous night so excited that I couldn’t sleep,” he reminisces. “I remember my father congratulating me as he wheeled my first motorcycle out. It was a gleaming red and black dream-come-true - and I spent the whole day riding it to it’s limits, up and down the drive. I went to bed smelling of it!”
At 16, and with the same degree of excitement, Nyall set about learning to ride a road-legal motorbike, and work towards passing his full test. For this task he chose the Yamaha FS1-E, a legend amongst many riders of his generation, and he began to hone his riding skills.
One year of hard riding and equally hard saving later finds Nyall astride another Yamaha landmark motorbike, the RD350. “It was the premier sport lightweight of the early 70’s, evolved from the 5 speed 350cc ‘R5’, and gave me so much fun that I blame it for the onset of my laughter lines!”
Then, over 10 years ago, Nyall met his soul mate. “Yamaha’s philosophy is guided by human emotions, and when I rode the first generation YZF-R1, something clicked. Of all the bikes I’d ridden, it was the first one I felt truly symbiotic with. It knocked the ‘untouchable’ Fireblade off it’s well-deserved perch, and took riding to a whole new level. I was reminded of this just the other day,” he adds “when I took an original Yamaha R1 home for a change. Over ten years on and it’s lost none of it’s absolutely electric appeal. Quite amazing.”
From building his own chop to the thrills of track days, Nyall says he get’s his kicks from all aspects of his calling. “Being at Infinity Motorcycles in the forefront of an excellent industry, and meeting and pleasing customers from every walk of life is my biggest buzz though.” Don’t believe us? Drop in for a coffee and a chat - or give Nyall a call. What the man doesn’t know about Yamaha isn’t worth knowing!
Meet the Manager - Dean Salussolia
Dean has worked in our Clapham store for longer than he cares to remember, but in that time he's built up a loyal customer base who know their motorcycle will receive the best possible care when it's entrusted to Deans technicians.
Dean and our Clapham service department are well versed in genuine Yamaha parts and accessories - why not give them a call, it's normally the service department who're first to pick up the phone!
Meet the Manager - Nigel Armstrong
Clothing and Accessories Manager.
Before running Clapham, Nige has been running our Farnborough store since before it was "our" Farnborough store, having worked for Motorcycle City for 12 years when we took over the store in 2003.
Prior to working for Motorcycle City, Nige's career highlights even include a stint as an international motorcycle racer!
With his daily Farnborough commute of 70 miles, Nige has become and authority on Rukka clothing - and his Yamaha YZF R6 has the miles to show for it too, at the time of writing this, Nige R6 has covered over 125 000 miles.
The only thing Nige loves more than his bikes is his football - don't start him on his beloved West Ham or Barcelona.
