    A little more about me

I have been a rider for over 30 years. I am lucky enough to own a variety of bikes including a BMW cruiser, an aging Bimota and a Suzuki off road bike.

My daily commute is usually on a Honda scooter so I really do have a great knowledge of what it’s like to ride different types of bikes. I am also a time served mechanic and do most of the work on my bikes. As this includes a two stroke TZR 250 race bike, I can often be found with grease under my nails.

When I'm not racing I can be found at the keyboard clacking out prose for as a freelancer for various magazines where I specialise in reviewing motorcycling clothing. As a result, I have a large collection of riding gear so really know what I'm talking about when it comes to recommending products.

In my spare time I also volunteers as a riding coach with the British Motorcycle racing club. Years of honing what little skill I have and some specialist training with the ACU mean that I can often be found on track showing people how to get the most from their machines. I specialise in coaching kids from the age of 12 who are competing in championships at club level.

A keen traveller, I have ridden bikes to Morocco, around Europe, half way around Australia and once rode from Prague to London in a day!
