The Alpinestars Andes V2 Drystar Jacket is a waterproof, abrasion-resistant, all-purpose jacket ideal for touring or commuting. The natural successor to the original Andes, the Alpinestars V2 adopts the popular style and effective construction of the Andes, while improving upon the Andes’ ventilation and protective qualities, making this essential for modern riding.
The Alpinestars Andes’ design was already flawless in its performance, with a plethora of internal and external pockets, reflective panels and a waterproof membrane to boot. What sets the Andes V2 apart, however, is its newly developed Direct Ventilation System: zippered vents at the thighs intake air and exhaust backports allow for internal climate control and optimal rider comfort. The innovative system also integrates a concealed shock cord ensuring the vent remains exposed in whatever position you’re in a while riding.
Constructed of reinforced multi-fabrics and panels, the Alpinestars Andes V2 incorporates the latest impact-resistant technology essential for modern riding. Removable CE certified protectors at the elbow and shoulders and chest and back poly-foam padding cover your upper body and reinforced polymer-printed at critical points of the elbow and arm absorb shock upon impact
The 2017 Andes V2 is a versatile, durable motorcycle jacket with an abundance of impressive qualities. Integrated with Alpinestars’ own developed waterproof liner Drystar for all-around weatherproofing, the jacket also incorporates a removable thermal liner that runs along the sleeves, as well as body, ensures heat retention. Accordion stretch panel at the elbows and pre-contoured sleeves allow flexibility and improved riding performance, and an internal waist zipper allows for connection with the Andes Drystar V2 trousers.

The Heritage of Alpinestars
Alpinestars take their name from the Italian mountain flower Stella Alpina, known to grow in the mountains around Sante Mazzarolo’s home town of Asolo, in northern Italy. Stella Alpina, means, well, “Alpine Star” in English. They have carried their origins with them proudly as they have grown and developed into a unique company dedicated to really high quality motorcycle clothing.
They began by making hiking boots and ski boots, branched out into making motocross boots and road racing boots, and from there became one of the most well-regarded manufacturers of motorcycle clothing in Europe.
Never content to rest on their laurels, Alpinestars have taken engineering inspiration from every spot they tough, all of which has helped their motorcycle clothing range cater for every conceivable need. From Dale Earnhardt Jr’s striking Alpinestars gloves in NASCAR to Jenson Button’s Racing boots and gloves, these drivers help inform and shape Alpinestars’ motorcycle range with fresh and innovative insights.
