The Race Star Flex DLX Speed Check is Bell's superlative racing helmet with an exceptional carbon-fibre shell and Protint Panovision visor.
The helmet utilises a 3k carbon fibre shell which not only feels unbelievably lightweight on your head but also offers first-class protection and aerodynamic performance, thanks to the different levels of thickness on the outer shell for a slipstream effect.
The Race Star takes advantage of Bell's Flex energy management system, consisting of 3 progressive layers made from different materials and densities to absorb and diffuse rotational impacts that would cause the most serious head injuries. damage to your head. The three liners are made from EPO, EPP and EPS to handle low, medium and high-speed impacts respectively, and features six movable panels that rotate towards the direction of an impact for the highest level of protection possible.
The RaceView orientation provides excellent vision in a racing position, and the ProTint Panovision visor reacts to the light and dark for optimal perception. The helmet also features a magnetic double D ring strap, a Virus Cool Jade Power mesh lining and an emergency release Magnefusion cheek pads.

When you order a helmet online we can only accept a return when the helmet is unworn and HAS NOT been used out on the motorcycle. When you receive your helmet, please try it on for around an hour in the comfort of your home, do not go out on the motorcycle with it. If the helmet is too loose or is too tight, get in touch and we will help to provide a return.
Circumference Measurement: Wrap a measuring tape around your head starting from the centre of your forehead. Measure about an inch above your eyebrows and hold tape comfortably snug. Take the length and complete again for good measure. Use the largest of the two readings.

It’s no coincidence that Bell is both the first name in speed and the first name in helmets. Born in the 1950's California hot rod and racing scene, Bell founder Roy Richter built an entire industry anticipating the unmet needs of those with a speed-hungry disposition. People wanted to drive fast … he corralled all the go-fast parts he could find into the world’s first speed shop. They wanted to race … he built them race cars. And when the need-for-speed started to reveal some grim realities, Roy did something about that too and Bell Helmets was born.
Roy Richter spent his life removing the limits of what was possible — and his unlimited spirit has been Bell’s guiding light for nearly 60 years, earning the admiration, trust and loyalty of generations of champions. Throughout those years nearly every advance on the list of helmet “firsts” were built under Bell’s auspices. That drive to anticipate and create continues, as much a part of Bell’s ethos today as it was back in Roy’s day.

My observations from the first few times out with the new lid!
Had to go size larger as my chin would touch the chin part, difficult to operate front top vent, unless the visor is fully closed! Overall good looks, nice set of extra pro-tint visor and bag, however some negative points.
The helmet moves a lot up and down when opening and closing the visor, due to visor hard lock and larger helmet size for the reasons above. ...It is much noisier than my previous HJC R-PHA. Does not feel good quality either!
Attracted by the offer, but makes me regret the the purchase!
