Thanks to working with some of the most evocative names in motorcycle racing, Dainese have been at the forefront of new developments over the years, developing leather stretch panels, knee sliders and with the help from Barry Sheene, Dainese were amongst the first companies to develop back protectors. Barry Sheene's legacy lives on implicitly in Dainese jackets, and explicitly in the vintage-styled Seven Barry Sheene Dainese Archivio Pelle Jacket.
Dainese were the first to make suits cut to suit the rider in the riding position way back in the 70's. Other developments over the years have included composite armour, titanium inserts, incorporation of aerodynamics, punch vented panels and most recently the incredible D-Air air-bag suit. So respected is the technology in the air-bag suit that apparently there is currently a MotoGP rider who wears a Dainese suit with a different manufacturers branding on it!
Valentino Rossi may get paid well to wear Dainese, but there are loads of other companies out there who would be delighted to sign the 9 times world champion to wear their gear; he only wants to use the best. And you’d better believe that TT hero Guy Martin also has a choice of what to wear as he tackle the world's toughest road race. Like the Italian, he only wants to wear the best motorcycle clothing on the market.
As well as motorcycle protection Dainese are also at the forefront of providing protection to skiers, mountain bikers and horse riders as well. We have even had professional stuntmen in our shops buying protection, along with extreme sports men and women from numerous other pursuits. This is the difference between gear that's made to meet the specifications and gear that is built for whatever you can throw at it.
There is only one way to really see the Dainese difference and that’s to come into one of the Infinity stores and try on the kit for yourself. The quality comfort and style of something like the Dainese Tourage Vintage jacket really has to be experienced to be appreciated.
Dainese are one of the few brands to be licensed to produce Gore Tex motorcycle clothing and they use the technology throughout a wide range of products including boots, gloves, jackets and trousers. As you’d expect these are all some of the most stylish Gore Tex items you can purchase. All of our stores have staff trained by Gore Tex to help you choose or offer advice and we have Gore Tex motorcycle clothing from several brands.
Not all Dainese waterproof jackets use Gore Tex, many of the Dainese waterproof jackets in our range use D-dry. D-dry is a similar membrane to Gore Tex and helps to ensure that any Dainese waterproof jacket you buy will keep the water out. We want you to be able to put your faith in our products, so our Dainese waterproof jackets are fully guaranteed.
Likewise Dainese waterproof trousers come in Gore Tex and D-dry models, all of which are equipped with matching zips so that you can join them to a Dainese jacket. Just like the waterproof jackets Dainese waterproof trousers are fully guaranteed.
If you’re a MotoGP fan then there’s a good chance that you’ve seen Dainese’s latest and arguably their greatest innovation in action, the Dainese D-air racing suit.
The revolutionary D-Air system has been under development for ten years and is now available to the public. At Infinity we have factory trained staff to custom fit the D-Air race suit to our customers. We’re also one of the very few UK agents to keep the D-air suits in stock ready to go off of the peg.
Dainese leather jeans are available in several models depending on whether you want simple protective leathers for the road or a track orientated model complete with knee sliders. As with most things Dainese we keep them in stock ready to try on across our stores.
As well as the protective gear Dainese is also known for its stylish casual wear encompassing tee shirts and warm tops. Whilst we don’t carry a full range in all of our stores we do try to keep a lot of Dainese tee shirts in stock.
Dainese make summer and winter boots, and whilst they’re not widely known for their footwear their range is certainly worth checking out, especially their Gore Tex models such as the TRQ.
When it comes to gloves Dainese again led the way in terms of safety being the first people to incorporate carbon fibres knuckles and panels into their gloves. 5 times world champion Max Biaggi was one of the first to truly benefit from this technology as he tested prototypes of Dainese gloves to destruction back in his GP 250 days.
As well as incorporating protection into every motorcycle garment it makes Dainese are also very well known for producing technologically advanced back protectors, the Dainese Back Shield is the latest generation protector to be produced by the factory.
Being an Italian company (based in Vicenza) Dainese understand that it’s not only hard-core riders who want their stuff so the items they produce are designed to work on humble scooters as well. Wash items separately. If you have a lining in your clothing, remove and carefully wash. Wash trousers and other items separately to jackets.
Wash using mild detergents - do not use fabric softener.
Don’t actively remove stains with solvents. Be as gentle as possible on your clothing.
Do not leave to soak.
Be careful when it comes to drying. As with all products of this nature, dry slowly and allow the garment time to return to its normal shape. Do not wring or tumble dry. Hang dry on a clothes hanger.
