HJC I70 - Asto
The I70 is part of HJC's latest range of full-face helmets for 2019. Replacing the preceding IS-17, the newest sports-touring helmet by the premium brand brings the latest innovations in design, protection and ventilation at a highly competitive price.
The helmet features an advanced polycarbonate shell, designed using CAD technology, which allows the I70 to be incredibly lightweight (weighing 1.51kg) and aerodynamic, yet formidable and strong to absorb impacts. In terms of comfort, the I70 benefits from a removable and washable comfort lining, a good secure fit around your crown, and an easy-to-use adjustable micro buckle, as well as a glasses-friendly interior for any optical bikers!
The I70 adopts a new Vision Plus Wide Shield, dubbed the HJ-31m, that allows for a wider field of vision and an additional 10mm at the top of the eye port in comparison to the IS-17. The integrated sun visor has been repositioned to the bottom of the visor, allowing for better peripheral vision, assists in reducing eye strain and provides effective UV-protection from the sun.
The ventilation system has been reinvigorated from the original IS-17, featuring effective air-flow ventilation and exhaust system that comprises of 5 lower and top vents placed at strategic points of the shell. This provides a steady stream of cool air while flushing heat and humidity out the exhausts.
The helmet comes equipped with similarly innovative features including a quick-release, speaker pockets for communication systems, as well as an ultra-quick, simple and secure shield ratchet system, and a free anti-fog lens shield included with the helmet.
If you're after a modern, every-day full face on a tight budget, the smart money's on the HJC I70.
