Kriega Motorcycle Luggage
Kriega is a British company from Chester. Kriega was founded in 1999 when Dom Longman and Michael Cottam, who had a background in outdoor kit, drew on their love of motorcycling to build a company that would design and make tough, well-made motorcycle luggage of the highest quality. All Kriega products are designed in-house, with an emphasis on hard-wearing quality and ease of use.
How Kriega See Themselves
Kriega received a Ride kit award in 2011 as recognition for their long-standing commitments to quality luggage and accessories. After receiving the award, design director Dom Longman said, "We invest a lot of time in design and testing because we're not a fashion brand. We build things to last and don't release anything until its right." Some other manufacturers think of luggage as a simple accessory, buy their range from China, rebrand the cheaply-made luggage as their own brand, and sell the end product as though it were designed and made entirely within the company.
Talking about the Kriega backpack range, Dom attributes its popularity to the way in which the weight seems to disappear when wearing it. "We worked hard to design a strap system that took all the strain out of the shoulders and neck so that it was comfortable to wear over long distances."
Love this waist pack. Have seen so many people using it, but never purchased one. Finally decided to buy and not disappointed. If anyone rides around in a full leather one-piece suit or just needs a bit more space to carry stuff, this is a must-have as you no longer need pockets to carry all your things! Easily fits phone, battery pack, keys. Can even get a small disc lock in there. Large main, waterproof storage and a few smaller pockets for wallets etc. The strap/sizing mechanism is a little fiddly at first. But might be because it's new and needs wearing in slightly. Time will tell. But that's the reason for 4, not 5 stars.
Almost a five star bag
Incredibly comfortable - you hardly know it's there. The closure for the main compartment is a bit cumbersome and takes up some space under the flap but apart from that I can't fault it
Very useful for small items
I have a kreiga rucksack already but sometimes you just need somewhere to stash your keys, wallet and phone and this is ideal. Rolltop is waterproof and easy to put on and off. Easy adjustment on waist. Ideal for commuting.
Best ever bum bag
Fits well and looks awesome! Wanted it for a long time and after purchase use it every day. The waterproof inside pocket and cover provides great protection for all contents. Adjustable volume of bag and strap makes it easy to wear it at almost across the body.
R3 has an impressive three-litre capacity, with a main compartment that's totally waterproof. The waist belt is well padded and covered in non-slip material, so the pack won't move about even when wet. This is a stylish bit of kit that oozes quality and is well worth the money. Oh yes, we love this, Sir.
A touring essential
So I have just returned after 7 nights touring around Franceand I had the R3 wrapped around my waist the entire time. It's build quality is what we have come to expect from Kreiga. The buckle is solid and once fastened doesn't real ease until you want it to, with a handy quick release system which allows you to extend or shorten the length of the strap without needing to remove it which is great when you need to spin it round your body to get access. Working back there is a kidney pad on either side which provides comfort and helps keep the R3 where you want it when riding. The main body is made from the standard Kreiga waterproof material which keep the content dry when the heavens open. Inside there are 3 compartments. The main body is large and I had a variety of things in there from visor spray to an external battery pack which is secured by clip. The second compartment is on the front of the main body which is perfect for your phone and passport and is fastened by a zip. The third
