A long-running success story, Oxford Products are based just outside their namesake University City. Started in 1973, Oxford Products have gone from strength to strength and now export their own products to 60 countries worldwide, as well as distributing some World Class brands like HJC Helmets and Alpinestars.
Oxford Products themselves have led the way in a few areas too; Oxford Lifetime Luggage is the benchmark soft luggage-travel anywhere in the world and if there are bikes, there will be Oxford Luggage fitted to some of them. Hotgrips by Oxford Products are second to none – some clever technology (for example, if your battery voltage drops, the Oxford Hotgrips know to cut out rather than completely kill your battery) means they are the choice of riders like the Russian Police force. Since many of the staff at Oxford Products are active motorcyclists, products are tested and developed in the UK, in the same weather and conditions as most of our customers and us.
If you’re reading this thinking about tucking your motorbike away for the colder months, may we suggest you look at the range of Oxford Products Battery Optimisers – great value and offer at least as many features as the competition. Many of our customers use their Oxford Products battery optimisers on cars and even boats - an Oxford Optimiser 600 has saved many of us here from unplanned battery purchases for the last few years!

Muffs - I believe what a difference!
This is the first time I have ever fitted Muffs and these ones from Oxford I think are excellent. They are easy to put on, fit well and the only thing that reminds you they are there is the fact that your hands are warm and toasty! So simple, so cheap and so effective - I am a convert.
If you ride in all weather its a must buy
These have been a god send over the latest cold snap. I wasn’t sure to start with but when you take into account if it’s -1oC outside and you're travelling at 50-70mph in wet gloves (even if only wet on the outside) this gives a wind chill of about -15 to -25, which is cold enough to give you frost bite in about 30 to 15 min. These take away the wind chill factor and you can even fit them with heaters but as yet I have had no reason to do so as with a good pair of gloves my hands if anything are a little too warm as they do work so well. Cons; little fiddly to fit you have to cut holes in the top for wing mirrors to fit through take time in doing this if you rush they will not fit well and could have problems with reaching controls of your bike, so take the time and no problems.
Not that bad, not that good
I fitted them to my WR125 and found them good although a little restrictive. Now I have a Tiger 800 with plastic hand guards and found them tight so took off the guards and found they fitted ok but when I got above 50 MPH the wind would push the muffs against the brake lever and applied the brake light which luckily I found out. So someone suggested fitting the plastic guards back on and really pull the muffs over. They did fit with a pull and a tug. They are now held more rigid and do not move or apply the brake light, also it's easier to get your hands into when rigid. Yes it is a little difficult to get used to them and some times its hard to find the start button but they do keep the worst of the wind off. IF YOU DO FIT THEM CHECK THE BRAKE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON AT SPEED
They are too restrictive. I use thin summer gloves with them and after a few hours my hands hurt from the muffs and the right one kinda tilts down so when u get above say 40mph the wind catches it and pushes down on your hand. Years ago I used to swear by my muffs but these are rubbish IMO. I might try a different brand when the winter proper kicks in. If I didn't cut holes in them for my mirrors I woulda returned them or sold them on......
oxford hand/bar muffs
The goods were delivered very promptly and packed well. the muffs were intended to be used on my 2007 suzuki V-Strom, however, they do not fit very good if the bar end weights and hand guards are left on. if these are removed then the muffs fit very well and provide a great deal of protection from the elements.
