Racer Tour Waterproof Gloves
The Racer Tour is a versatile motorcycle glove that is great for riding all year round. The Tour have an AquaPoint™ membrane that is waterproof and breathable, to lock out moisture and keep your hands comfortable and dry. For even more cold weather protection the gloves have a Dexfil® insulation that is focused on the back of the hand and less on the palm of the hand. This provides better dexterity and allows heat to pass through the glove. But it also means the top of the hand which commonly faces directly into the wind is insulated better.
The Racer Tour glove is made using a mixture of leather, providing the expected flexibility, and textile giving the super heat and waterproofing properties. Whilst the goat skin palm gives a better and more tactile feel. Reflective detailing on the glove’s cuff ensure visibility whilst riding in poorer conditions. The knuckles and fingers have soft protection.
The Racer Tour is designed to accommodate the use of heated grips so you can rest assured if you want some really cold weather riding. And touchscreen index fingers mean fiddling with your gloves if you need to stop to check your GPS or mobile phone.

Orders to UK Mainland addresses over £25 (i.e. excluding Highlands and Islands) will be sent with free carriage.

Austrian brand Racer now makes a range of motorcycle clothing but their most noteworthy products are the Racer gloves which made their name in the first place. Their top of the range men’s motorcycle gloves, such as the Sicuro, use the highest quality materials and latest technology, but unlike many brands, they use them intelligently to get the maximum benefit. For example, titanium is used on the knuckles since it has a low friction coefficient and therefore slides when in contact with tarmac, reducing the likelihood of twisting injuries. Kangaroo hide is used on the palms for maximum feel and abrasion resistance.
Racer gloves don’t just make “racer’s gloves” though. There is a similarly technical range of touring and waterproof gloves, including Gore-Tex models.
Racer makes both ladies Racer gloves and men’s motorcycle gloves, with specifically different fits and models, as well as textile and leather jackets and jeans. Recently they have also branched out into motorcycle boots, with an excellent waterproof touring boot.
