Perfectly complimenting and colour matched to the RST Atlas Textile Jacket, these textile motorcycle trousers from RST are packed with features that allow you to tackle whatever the road throws at you when out on your bike.
The MaxTex outer construction of the trousers offers a robust outer material, ideal for motorcycle clothing due to its hardwearing nature and high abrasion resistance. Triple stitched with a bonded nylon thread, the outer of the Atlas trousers is sure to hold firm, even when subjected to intense abrasion which is experienced in a slide across tarmac. Beneath the outer construction of the trousers lie CE Approved armour at the knees. This CE Level 1 armour is designed to effectively dissipate impact energy away from these areas, maximising the protection and minimising your recovery time after a tumble. Additionally, the RST Atlas trousers feature pockets for the inclusion of hip armour, which is available to purchase separately as an optional extra. Passive protection comes in the form of reflective detailing found on the trouser, improving your visibility when riding in poor weather conditions or at night.
Protection from the elements comes in the form of the fixed SinAqua breathable waterproof membrane; this intelligent membrane allows water vapour to escape from within the trousers as you ride while locking water out when riding in the worst of the weather. Further to this, a quilted thermal lining offers an additional layer of insulation when riding in cooler conditions. This thermal lining is fully removable, leaving you with a lightweight summer motorcycle trouser. The thermal lining can be rolled up small and neatly stored within your panniers or rucksack with ease.
Accordion stretch panelling found at the knees and upper rear waist as well as Samtex material panelling offers allows for unrestricted movement, both when riding and walking around at your destination. The material stretches to allow movement when on the bike but returns to its original form when you get off, ensuring that the fit of the RST Atlas trousers is always correct. You’ll also find Velcro adjustment points at the waist, allowing you to tailor the fit of the trousers to suit your waist.
For additional durability and longevity, RST have chosen to use MAX zippers on this touring motorcycle trouser, the very same that are found on RST’s Pro Series Adventure trousers. Additionally, you’ll find a 360° connection zipper at the waist of the jean, allowing you seamlessly zip into any compatible RST jacket with a 360° connection zipper. This not only minimises wind entering in through the rear of the jacket and jeans when you’re trying to keep warm but also minimises the risk of the small of your back becoming exposed in the event of a slide across the tarmac.
