The RST Pro Series Adventure-X is an adventure touring jacket with a durable MaxTex outer, a SinAqua waterproof membrane and CE level 2 protection.
Developed with input from legendary Dakar Rally finisher Mick Extance, the Adventure-X is a dual-layered motorcycle jacket made from MaxTex: a lightweight high denier synthetic material that offers great protection and is comfortable to wear. The jacket also incorporates Ballistic textile, overlaid over key impact areas along with the triple stitching using a coated bonded nylon thread that offers increased abrasion resistance.
Improved from the original Adventure jacket, the Adventure-X takes advantage of a brand new innovative and removable X-Liner: a singular lightweight lining integrated with a quilted thermal liner and a SinAqua waterproof membrane combined together. This can be removed easily and stored in the rear jacket map pocket. The jacket also features superior levels of ventilation in the form of the fixed comfort mesh lining and multiple chest, arm and rear vents to ensure superb levels of airflow in and out of the jacket, keeping you cool as you ride.
Add in the class-leading armour; it has a CE certification rating of AA and CE Level 2 back protector and shoulder and elbow armour along with TPU shoulder cups and you have a garment ready to protect in the event of any impact. And if that wasn’t enough, hardwearing MAX zips are used throughout the jacket and there are stretch motion panels and adjustment points on the arm and waist to offer the most comfortable fit.
From huge ventilation points to CE armour, the RST Adventure-X jacket is everything you need a textile adventure motorcycle jacket to be and more!
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part under the armpits, and keep the tape horizontal.

Great trousers but the jacket leaks in a downpour
So I bought RST Pro Series Adventure-X Trousers from Infinity and they are truly waterproof. I bought RST Pro Series Adventure-X Jacket to match from another seller on eBay, brand new with all the tags and my first impression was it was everything I wanted in a jacket. 2 months on and now it's 1st October 2022 the first big downpour going home from work and 20 minutes into my journey home and my belly was wet. you see the jacket has a vented front that is designed to open and tuck into the jacket for summer. Unfortunately when it comes to winter and rain, the vents keep the wind out when closed but the Velcro part that seals the bottom of the tuck-in vent lets the water in. It's fair to say that the thermal lining is waterproof but the water trickles down to the bottom of the jacket where it has nowhere to go other into your t-shirt, hens the wet belly. Look for something with a snood or storm collar. nothing with an open tuck-away front vent.
