The Scorpion Exo 1400 Carbon Pure is a sports-touring full-face with a lightweight, carbon-fibre shell, an efficient air ventilation system, and convenient internal sun visor.
The 1400 is Scorpion's first carbon full-face, boasting an extremely light, TCT structure with an aggressive shape and a gloss finish. This smart shell is able to gradually crumple on impact, which allows it to absorb most of the energy generated by the shock while retaining a strong structure that resists impact. Fitting perfectly into the specially-depressed area of the face shield, the Pinlock creates continuous air pressure through the compression force, which in turn stops condensation – and thus fogging – from occurring even when the temperature difference between the outside and the inside of the helmet increases.
An internal retractable sun visor eases eye strain instantly in varying light conditions without changing face shields, while the Airfit feature permits a rider to personalize helmet fit through air adjustable cheek pads with additional noise reduction.
The helmet also features a very effective, hypoallergenic, removable, machine washable, and very soft and pleasant to the touch, the KwikWick3 lining of the new ScorpionExo 2015 range is a real custom-made slipper for your head.

When you order a helmet online we can only accept a return when the helmet is unworn and HAS NOT been used out on the motorcycle. When you receive your helmet, please try it on for around an hour in the comfort of your home, do not go out on the motorcycle with it. If the helmet is too loose or is too tight, get in touch and we will help to provide a return.
Circumference Measurement: Wrap a measuring tape around your head starting from the center of your forehead. Measure about and inch above your eyebrows and hold tape comfortably snug. Take the length and complete again for good measure. Use the largest of the two readings.

The Scorpion Sports factory, ‘The Big Nest’ is dedicated to crafting some of the world's best protective headgear. Almost every operation needed to create world-class helmets is located on this one amazing facility, including both fiberglass/Kevlar™ and polycarbonate shell moulding, EPS liner manufacturing, liner sewing, water-decal production, clean-room paint booths, drying rooms, assembly, packaging and shipping. This way the factory can monitor the quality and is not dependent on outside suppliers.
The American based company is relatively new to the UK market and has made a strong impact with the quality of its products. Features such as the Airfit system, which allows you to add pressure on the cheek pads, and their sprung visor mechanisms which help the visor seal against the shell keeping noise and drafts to a minimum all point to a quality product.
They’ve also done well in the Sharp test which proves their crash quality.
There are a number of full and open face models in the range as well as a great flip front. Obviously all Scorpion helmets met ECE22-05 and all have been approved by the TUV testing centre in Germany.

Noisy but nice
Beautifully designed and really lightweight helmet. Comes with 2 visors, 1 clear & 1 dark tint (looks badass with a dark visor). Also comes with pinlock included.
It would have got 5 stars if not for the wind noise which seems to come from the bottom of the helmet. It isn't going to be noisy for everyone as we all have different shape/size heads. But mine is bad from about 40mph upwards. To be fair to Dave @ Infinity Southampton he did have it sent back to scorpion for a check-up to make sure it wasn't faulty, and it came back within a few days with no faults found, so I will just have to put up with it. I will now wear earplugs + I'm thinking of getting a helmet skirt which completely seals off the bottom of the helmet.
For me, a good idea would be for the stores to have some sort of fake wind blast being blown at you when you try on the helmet to see if it is quiet enough for you. I know they do this in some stores in other countries.

Extraordinary value
I have been wearing this helmet for month now riding every day in all weathers. The large size gave me a near perfect fit without using the air pump feature. On cold or rainy days the fabric chin cover keeps out drafts and in the record hot spell we had in February the air vents worked perfectly. Under the legal limit wind noise is as quiet as I have experienced in any other helmet , however above 80mph it gets noisy and I would advise ear plugs if you are taking it onto a track day for which it will be accepted.
So why only 4 stars; well I have found the sun shade to be a bit of a disappointment. Its the first helmet I have had with one so you might like to compare and contrast yourself. The tinted visor that came with the helmet is excellent and both it and the clear version were ready for a pinlock anti fog to be inserted which infinity did for me at no extra charge.
Light as a feather compared with all my old helmets you will not regret buying one.
