Shoei J Cruise Motorcycle Helmet:
The J Cruise features an open face design whilst offering the high performance and protection expected from Shoei helmets. The wide visor is designed to give you a greater field of vision and increased peripheral vision. This makes the J Cruise a fantastic choice for navigating busy traffic on your daily commute.
The helmet is made from layers of organic and multi-composite fibres and is lined with EPS foam. This means the helmet has great shock absorption and rigidity to keep your head safe in a scrape. To keep you cool the helmet features a ventilation system that promotes the flow of fresh air whilst exhausting old warm air.
For when the sun starts shining the J Cruise has an integrated sun visor that is made to the European standard for sunglasses. The easy to use lever action means that you won’t have to stop to swap visors when the weather changes.
If you’re looking for a helmet with top of the line technology and protection no matter the weather then the Shoei J Cruise is perfect for you.
- Made from layered organic and multi-composite fibres for high shock absorption
- Dual-density EPS foam liner for added impact resistance
- 4 different shell sizes
- Integrated sun visor made to European sunglasses standard
- Sun visor is raised and lowered by a convenient lever action on the side of the helmet
- Wide face shield gives a greater field of vision and increased peripheral vision
Our stores are Shoei Assured, with trained staff and spares back up. All Shoei helmets sold by Infinity Motorcycles since January 1st 2013 are covered by a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty.
Shoei was founded in japan in 1958 and have been producing motorcycle helmets since. At the beginning the helmets produced were only for the racing sector, but then founder Eitaro Kamata made the decision to expand their horizons and in 1960 their factory in Tokyo began producing helmets which met the Japanese industrial standards allowing everyday riders to wear their helmets.
Shoei's GRV helmet was the first helmet to use carbon fibre and Kevlar. Shoei also created the first coverless shield system and the Dual Liner Ventilation system. The flagship X-Spirit was introduced in 2003 and was promoted by Shoei as the most advanced helmet in the world, winning MCN's Product of the Year 2003 award in the clothing category. It was followed by further development and the introduction of the RF-1000 (sold as the XR-1000 in Europe) in 2004, and the later introduction of the X-Eleven. These helmets paved the way for the current RF-1100 and X-Twelve models. In September 2010 the QWEST was released, the successor of the RAID II, a top of the line sport touring helmet.
The launch of the Neotec in 2012 was another milestone for Shoei - the addition of a built in sun visor , built into a second shell layer to remove the weakness inherent in adding an internal sun visor.
Shoei sponsors MotoGP riders such as Marc Marquez and Bradley Smith, and being adopted by Honda Motor Co, Shoei has gained respect from motorcycle industries. Although a very successful brand, Shoei still remains a relatively small with under 500 workers worldwide. The helmets are only produced in Japan, yet they are distributed and sold globally.
In 2013, Shoei introduced a 5 year warranty against material and manufacturing defects - all Shoei helmets sold by Infinity Motorcycles are supplied through the official channels and we're Shoei Assured dealers, so our staff are trained in fitting, maintenance and servicing of Shoei helmets and we stock a range of Shoei accessories, spares and visors in all stores.
Shoei Helmet Sizing
The following sizing guides are intended as a approximate guide only.
If you need any further help with sizing please do not hesitate to contact us or visit any of our stores.
Helmet size is measured around the circumference of the head starting in the middle of the forehead. Start around 1 cm above the eyebrows then around the head just above the ear then back past the opposite ear to the start point.
The fit should be a snug fit when new, as the inner comfort liner will give out between 5%-10%.
A loose fitting helmet will not protect the head correctly in the event of an accident.
Measurement should be taken in centimetres please refer to the conversion chart below.
Helmet Size Chart
Next, follow these fitment checks.
- With the helmet on and the chin strap fastened, shake your head side to side. If the helmet moves independently of your head then the helmet is too big. The helmet lining and cheek pads should be in direct contact with your skin. While shaking your head, your skin should move with the helmet.
- Place one hand on he back of the helmet and push forward. Use your other hand and try to slip your little finger between your forehead and the helmet lining through the visor aperture. If there is room for more than just the tip of your finger, the helmet is too big.
- Lastly, place one hand on the chin bar and push up (while the chin strap is secured), if the helmet comes off your head, it is too big. Next, place one hand on the back and push up again, if the helmet rolls off of your head, it is too big.
