Shoei Neotec - Anthracite
The Neotec is Shoei’s invigorated flip-front helmet, replacing the previous Multitec model. Introduced in 2012, the Neotec improves upon every aspect of its predecessor and has proven a popular choice for motorcycle tourers and commuters alike.
Everything from the revamped build quality to optimal comfort, Shoei has modified the organic and multi-fibre interior of the shell to create additional space, while replacing the Multitec’s D-ring retention system for a steel micro ratchet system increases the helmet’s durability and ease-of-use. The anti-fog anti-scratch sun visor, in particular, is ingenious, as its integration is convenient without sacrificing the safety of the shock-absorbing liner.
Sophisticated modifications make the Shoei Neotec ideal for the modern motorcycle. The improved ventilation system improves breathability by 267% compared to the Multitec, and the Vortex generator actively cancels wind and road noise. Including the usual Shoei amenities such as a detachable, washable interior, differently-sized cheek pads and detachable chin-straps, the Neotec continues the Japanese brand’s lineage of innovative design and technology.

Shoei was founded in japan in 1958 and have been producing motorcycle helmets since. At the beginning the helmets produced were only for the racing sector, but then founder Eitaro Kamata made the decision to expand their horizons and in 1960 their factory in Tokyo began producing helmets which met the Japanese industrial standards allowing everyday riders to wear their helmets.
Shoei's GRV helmet was the first helmet to use carbon fibre and Kevlar. Shoei also created the first coverless shield system and the Dual Liner Ventilation system. The flagship X-Spirit was introduced in 2003 and was promoted by Shoei as the most advanced helmet in the world, winning MCN's Product of the Year 2003 award in the clothing category. It was followed by further development and the introduction of the RF-1000 (sold as the XR-1000 in Europe) in 2004, and the later introduction of the X-Eleven. These helmets paved the way for the current RF-1100 and X-Twelve models. In September 2010 the QWEST was released, the successor of the RAID II, a top of the line sport touring helmet.
The launch of the Neotec in 2012 was another milestone for Shoei - the addition of a built in sun visor , built into a second shell layer to remove the weakness inherent in adding an internal sun visor.
Shoei sponsors MotoGP riders such as Marc Marquez and Bradley Smith, and being adopted by Honda Motor Co, Shoei has gained respect from motorcycle industries. Although a very successful brand, Shoei still remains a relatively small with under 500 workers worldwide. The helmets are only produced in Japan, yet they are distributed and sold globally.
In 2013, Shoei introduced a 5 year warranty against material and manufacturing defects - all Shoei helmets sold by Infinity Motorcycles are supplied through the official channels and we're Shoei Assured dealers, so our staff are trained in fitting, maintenance and servicing of Shoei helmets and we stock a range of Shoei accessories, spares and visors in all stores.

Like a new head on my shoulders!
Firstly this helmet is very comfortable, the flip up is easy to open and close, the visor lifts right up out of the way, the pinlock is great to stop the visor misting, the sun visor is brilliant in the sun and again easy to use. Quick release is very well designed. All the air vents actually work. I use a sena bluetooth and the ear pockets in the helmet are in the right place for my speakers. Overall this helmet is like a new head on my shoulders! Much better than my old BMW system 6 and Schuberth C3...spend the money on this. A great investment.
I purchased my NeoTech from the Farnborough store. The Manager and his staff were extremely helpful and I was impressed with the high quality of service I received. This is my 3rd Shoei helmet and is the best so far. Extremely comfortable, great venting system and I just love it.
Fantastic All Round
I purchased my Neotec from the Southampton store, the staff there were excellent and helped with fitting as well as explaining the finance options available. Will definitely go there again. The helmet is great and a real step up from my caberg duke, it's quiet, fits extremely well, and feels super plush inside, I'm a definite Shoei convert, and I never thought I'd spend this much on a helmet, but it truly is worth it!
