The Shoei NXR Equate is a sports-touring full-face helmet with an AIM shell, optimised ventilation and an E.Q.R.S. security system.
Not only does the Shoei full-face bring over what riders loved about the previous Shoei XR-1100, but the Shoei NXR is also an amalgamation of years of research and innovation in helmet design and technology.
Designed under repeated testing in Shoei’s wind tunnel facility, its premium quality is immediately apparent from first wear: the outer shell is made from a mix of organic and multi-composite fibres that are layered for greater impact absorption and rigidity. Packing in comfort as well as protection: the 3D-sculpted interior is constructed of a breathable, moisture-wicking material, and the lightweight design eases the strain on your neck for long durations.
Installed with the latest technology, the Shoei NXR is an incredibly innovative helmet. The effective ventilation system will keep your head cool as temperatures increase; in colder weather, you can close off the vents as required but pulls enough air to de-mist your visor. This doesn’t mean you need to worry about wind noise though; Shoei has increased the size of their cheek and ear pads to reduce excess noise created by passing air and integrated a spoiler to make the NXR far more aerodynamic than the XR-1100.

When you order a helmet online we can only accept a return when the helmet is unworn and HAS NOT been used out on the motorcycle. When you receive your helmet, please try it on for around an hour in the comfort of your home, do not go out on the motorcycle with it. If the helmet is too loose or is too tight, get in touch and we will help to provide a return.
Circumference Measurement: Wrap a measuring tape around your head starting from the centre of your forehead. Measure about an inch above your eyebrows and hold tape comfortably snug. Take the length and complete again for good measure. Use the largest of the two readings.

Shoei was founded in japan in 1958 and have been producing motorcycle helmets since. At the beginning the helmets produced were only for the racing sector, but then founder Eitaro Kamata made the decision to expand their horizons and in 1960 their factory in Tokyo began producing helmets which met the Japanese industrial standards allowing everyday riders to wear their helmets.
Shoei's GRV helmet was the first helmet to use carbon fibre and Kevlar. Shoei also created the first coverless shield system and the Dual Liner Ventilation system. The flagship X-Spirit was introduced in 2003 and was promoted by Shoei as the most advanced helmet in the world, winning MCN's Product of the Year 2003 award in the clothing category. It was followed by further development and the introduction of the RF-1000 (sold as the XR-1000 in Europe) in 2004, and the later introduction of the X-Eleven. These helmets paved the way for the current RF-1100 and X-Twelve models. In September 2010 the QWEST was released, the successor of the RAID II, a top of the line sport touring helmet.
The launch of the Neotec in 2012 was another milestone for Shoei - the addition of a built in sun visor , built into a second shell layer to remove the weakness inherent in adding an internal sun visor.
Shoei sponsors MotoGP riders such as Marc Marquez and Bradley Smith, and being adopted by Honda Motor Co, Shoei has gained respect from motorcycle industries. Although a very successful brand, Shoei still remains a relatively small with under 500 workers worldwide. The helmets are only produced in Japan, yet they are distributed and sold globally.
In 2013, Shoei introduced a 5 year warranty against material and manufacturing defects - all Shoei helmets sold by Infinity Motorcycles are supplied through the official channels and we're Shoei Assured dealers, so our staff are trained in fitting, maintenance and servicing of Shoei helmets and we stock a range of Shoei accessories, spares and visors in all stores.

This is a very good and excellent helmet. I enjoyed my very long journey wearing this helmet. It gives comfort and breathable. I didnt feel like i was uncomfortable. I will definitely recommend others or my friends to purchase this helmet as its the best.
Fantastic
This is one of the lightest full face helmets on the market and still boasts the Shoeis AIM shell so you know the protection is their. The helmet fits really well and like the other Shoeis, you get a pinlock, mouthguard, and net curtain in the box, fantastic and a must buy if you want a quality sport helmet

I had made my choice to purchase the Shoei NXR helmet based purely on fit. Out of all the Shoei helmets this model was the best fit, even the custom fit option was not required. I have tried dozens of helmets from the large selection of brands and NXR had the most consistent grip all over with no gaps in fit. I have used this helmet for about 4000 miles now and was pleased to find that it is significantly quieter than my X-Lite helmet that I had used previously, also it is Intercom friendly. I have fitted an Autocom Bluetooth system into this helmet and there is still space left for my huge lugs. Crown liner and cheek pads are fully removable so it was easy to fit intercom and it will be handy to wash them. I wash the helmet interior every year, since I commute all year round on my motorcycle. Helmet came with Pinlock insert (must have item, used them for 5 years now, never failed me and kept my visor fog free) and removable chin skirt.
Keep a cool head this summer.
If keeping cool this summer is an issue, this is the answer. It pulls through an astonishing amount of air for it's size, is one of the lightest helmets on the market without using a full carbon fibre shell, and has a very small profile to it. Incredibly stable at speed, ACU approved, and a warranty that runs 5 years from store purchase, or 7 years from date of manufacture, easily the best day to day helmet I've had.

I have never had a premium helmet before and I can definitely see the difference from the sub £200 helmets I normally buy. Everything feels well put together.
I like the added safety features like the removal cheek pads which can be removed whilst the helmet is still on.
The external finish is great and I really like the colour scheme. It doesn't seem to fingerprint easily even though it is a Matt finish.
The inside is plush and it is very comfortable to wear, it feels very compact when you are wearing it.
The helmet came with a Pinlock as well.
On the move I can't say it felt much quieter than my other helmets but I have only done local trips so far. Good ventilation though.

My first proper helmet - looks fantastic, very quiet, feels very secure. Just fitted the additional elements yesterday (pinlock visor, breathguard and chin skirt) which have only made it even better. Very light.
Fantastic Helmet
Brought to replace an AGV K5 and the quality is incredible in comparison. Small, light, comfortable and vents amazingly. Paired with the transitions visor it is perfect for riding all year. Great service as always from Infinity.
