Alpinestars Andes Drystar Waterproof Jacket Black Reviews

I'm now on my second year of wearing this jacket for all-weather commuting and general riding. It's, overall, an "excellent" jacket. Although, not perfect. It's basically a bubble that shields you from the elements very effectively, in all my time using this jacket - I've *never* had water come through it. I've seen some very adverse weather challenge this thing, and it holds strong endlessly. It's very warm, fully waterproof/windproof and it's very comfortable. It also has loads of pockets - however, the outer pockets of this jacket *aren't* waterproof. If you want to keep your wallet and phone dry, you must keep them in the inside pockets. And in bad weather, this basically just means that the outside pockets are a bit useless. That's why it's not five stars. A minor reason, however - and I'd still fully recommend this item to everyone. It is great for all-season, serious, riders who don't want to spend £700+ for Rukka Goretex stuff.

Well worth the money. I paid the full price though!
Only one small problem is that the front ventilation zips catch on the inner lining, so you have to prepare the jacket for warmer riding with it off. Have had the drystar winter the gloves for 4 years with no water ingress so it made buying this jacket a no brainer when my old Ruuka gave up on me after only 2 years.
